for the first time in at least a year, i slept a solid 7 hours without stirring once and, when i did wake up, felt like i needed another 7 hours of sleep. sadly, i didn't get that next 7 hours.

hi ho, hi ho, it's off to rome i go
so i haven't really talked about it much before hand, but here i am at 4am on april 2 waking up to catch a plane to rome with mai and her sister jessie. there's just so much going on this month, and this year, that i just deal with things when they happen. so waking up at 4am is me being like "holy carp, i'm going to rome!"

i'm a busy, busy beaver
hello all!
hope all is good for you this new spring 2009. the weather here in new orleans is great! the colder winter nights are gone and the heat/humidity of summer has not yet arrived. it could stay like this until november and i would be happy. sadly, i know that won't be the case.

one down, many to go
woo hoo!! we signed our first new restaurant lease! coming soon to murfreesboro, tn, is a new cafe roma restaurant!
we have 90 days from friday to get it open and so far we don't think that will be hard to do. the spot was a restaurant previously, so some of the work is already done for us. that helps a lot.
will send some pics once we get a little further along and have something fun to show. :)

woo! it's that time of year again... beads, boobs and beer running rampant in the crescent city! ah the memories... :)
well, not so much of any of that for me anymore. i'm actually at cafe roma from open to close today since mai decided to give the whole kitchen staff the day off after her sister jessie made sure to tell all of our regular customers that we would be open today. >.< silly mai...
